Sources inform us that Gopi Krishna Movies is mooting Bobbili Brahmanna with Prabhas as the hero and Krishnam Raju doing a powerful character. The production house is likely to associate with Reliance Entertainment for this mega project. The name of a big director is under the consideration of the producer and the hero.
Bobbili Brahmanna, a blockbuster movie in the career of Krishnam Raju, was directed by K Raghavendra Rao. The then ace star's get-up in the movie, the premise, the royal feel, the deliverance of justice by the village head and other such elements made it a memorable film. The 1984 film has been an inspiration to a number of films since then. It starred Sharada and Jayasudha. Rao Gopal Rao and Kaikala, not to forget Allu Ramalingiah and Nutan Prasad had key roles in the movie.
It will be interesting to see how the story would be taken forward in the so-called second part. Chances are that this is not a second part, but a film loosely based on the original.
In any case since the genre is very rare in today's times, it will be interesting to watch Prabhas and KrishnamRaju in the movie.
